Actress Kim Se-in revealed why she chose rural life with seven abandoned dogs and recalled a promise with her father.
On the 30th broadcast of MBN 'Exclusive World', Kim Se-in's daily life living in a country house in the countryside with abandoned animals after suspending her activities was revealed.
Currently, Kim Se-in is caring for a total of seven abandoned dogs, including three large dogs and four poodles. He said "I started bringing in abandoned animals that were on the verge of euthanasia one by one, and it turned out like this," adding, "There was nowhere else for them to go and they were going to be euthanized." He went on to say, "Originally I can't stand seeing the pitiable ones," and "I think they rely on me a lot and I share my heart a lot," revealing his affection for his pets.
On that day's broadcast, scenes were also revealed that drew attention, such as making a pool by hand for the dogs and entering the water with a pet that had become afraid of people after being abandoned to reassure it. Moving to a large country house was also a choice to allow the animals to run and play freely.
Kim Se-in also said that the reason she insists on rural life is because of a promise with her father. He recalled, "Two years ago my father died suddenly of a heart attack," and "He once promised that if I did well, we would live together in a country house raising rabbits and chickens." He added, "After my father passed away I moved to a country house, although it's a rented place, and I ended up caring for abandoned chickens, rabbits and puppies," saying, "Part of the reason it turned out this way was the promise with my father."
He added, "The more I care for abandoned animals, the more comfort I receive."
Meanwhile, Kim Se-in confessed that when the family business declined after a past business failure, she debuted as an actress at age 20 and took responsibility for her family's livelihood. Recalling the time when she even risked performing nude to overcome financial hardship, she said, "My father blamed himself a lot, saying, 'Our daughter spent the money she earned like this,'" evoking sympathy.
