Actor Moon Geun-young (39), who once earned the label "nation's little sister," was belatedly revealed to have tied the knot with musical actor Jung Pyeong (46).
Agency Cri Company said on the 29th that "Moon Geun-young and Jung Pyeong recently got married." However, it did not disclose the exact date of the ceremony or any other detailed information related to the event.
According to the agency, the two, who had nurtured their love for a long time, opted to forgo a wedding and instead completed their marriage procedures with a modest meal attended only by both families.
That day, Moon Geun-young wrote on her social media (SNS), "I met someone with whom I want to walk the path I always walked alone, with whom I want to share the hours I used to ponder by myself, and who I want to make smile over even the smallest things," adding, "We want to fill the life ahead together as two, not one."
Moon Geun-young began her acting career with the film On the Road, released in 1999. She later took leading roles and delivered passionate performances in numerous buzzworthy works, including the films A Tale of Two Sisters and My Little Bride, and the drama Autumn in My Heart, Cinderella's Sister, and Painter of the Wind, winning great affection from the public. Recently, she expanded to the stage by joining the play Orphans, and she has completed all filming for director Yeon Sang-ho's new movie Yeto.
Jung Pyeong is a Veteran actor who first set foot onstage in 2007. He has since moved between plays and musicals, showcasing steady acting in substantial productions such as Aida, Laundry, The Perfect Lie, Eden Beauty Salon, Agatha, and A Million Blossoms of Love.
