Tablo of the group Epik High backed BTS's boycott of the U.S. Grammy Awards.
On the 29th, Tablo posted on his social media that RM would not submit to this year's Grammys and added the caption "ARIRANG > GRAMMYS."
Earlier, RM and all other BTS members posted on their respective social media accounts that they would not submit to the Grammy Awards.
They said "We hope music can be heard and loved for what it is, rather than being divided by region or language."
This is interpreted as a boycott of the Grammys' creating five new categories, including an Asian pop genre, at the next awards ceremony.
In this regard, BTS's agency BigHit Music told OSEN that "We would appreciate it if you could understand the artist's message as it is."
In response, Tablo expressed support, saying that his fifth full-length album "Arirang" (ARIRANG) carries more meaning than the Grammys and sympathized with BTS's decision.
Meanwhile, the Recording Academy, which oversees the Grammy Awards, has not issued any particular statement on the matter.
