"Flex x Cop 2" devil instructor Jung Eun-Chae humiliates attention-seeking chaebol Ahn Bo-hyun.
A still that hints at the unusual "disciplinary past" of Ahn Bo-hyun and Jung Eun-Chae from SBS's new Friday-Saturday drama "Flex x Cop 2" has been unveiled.
Following Manager Kim, SBS's new Friday-Saturday drama "Flex x Cop 2," which premieres on Aug. 7 (Fri) at 9:50 p.m. (produced by Studio S, Big Ocean ENM, BA Entertainment), is a lighthearted, refreshing and cathartic buddy-cop investigation about chaebol detective Jin I-su, who flips the table with his wealth when investigations stall, and the new team leader Joo Hye-ra, whose money-driven methods enliven the story. It is a work that forms one pillar of SBS's soda-universe alongside Taxi Driver, The Fiery Priest and The Judge from Hell, and is receiving attention as a promising title expected to briskly open SBS's trusted seasonal drama lineup for 2026.
Meanwhile, the "Flex x Cop 2" side released stills offering a glimpse into the past bond between "Jin I-su" (played by Ahn Bo-hyun) and "Joo Hye-ra" (played by Jung Eun-Chae), drawing attention. Although they now meet as a member of Gangha-seo violent crimes unit 1 and its new team leader, in the past Jin I-su, who was formally receiving police academy training, met Joo Hye-ra as a trainee and instructor and formed a special connection.
In the released stills, Jin I-su still shows the spoiled trainee look that can't shake off his chaebol airs. His confident swagger is short-lived as Joo Hye-ra, the ace of the counterterrorism team who is appointed temporary instructor, delivers what can only be described as "Jin I-su–tailored" discipline, sparking interest. First, in the judo training hall a twist unfolds that makes the overwhelming weight difference irrelevant. Jin I-su, who boldly asked Joo Hye-ra for a sparring match, is pinned to the floor in the blink of an eye and completely subdued. Next, during push-up endurance training, Joo Hye-ra relentlessly pushes him as his designated marker, and at the shooting range Jin I-su's pupils visibly react to her sharp critiques, raising curiosity about how the "detention room senior-junior" chemistry between the two will play out.
The fact that Jin I-su, who exudes the unpredictable charm of a mischievous dog, has finally met a true nemesis is the key viewing point of "Flex x Cop 2." Jin I-su thought he had escaped the grip of the devil instructor after graduating from the police academy, but fate reunites them as teammates when Joo Hye-ra is appointed the new team leader of violent crimes unit 1. Attention is focused on the tic-tac chemistry of attention-seeking detective Jin I-su, who is unpredictable, and veteran team leader Joo Hye-ra, who reins him in without hesitation, and the high-end soda-style joint investigations they will carry out together.

Flex x Cop season 1 ended in 2024, and this season 2 returns after two years with new faces including Jung Eun-Chae and Yoo Seungho.
