Group SEVENTEEN members Dokyeom and Vernon are beginning their military service.
PLEDIS Entertainment Co. announced on the morning of the 27th through official channels the schedule for SEVENTEEN members Dokyeom and Vernon to fulfill their military obligations.
SEVENTEEN said, "First, Dokyeom is scheduled to enlist as an active-duty soldier in the army on Sept. 8," adding, "He will participate in scheduled official activities without disruption until enlistment, and because the entrance ceremony at the training center on the day of enlistment is an event attended by many soldiers and families, we ask that visits to the site be refrained from."
It added, "Vernon will begin fulfilling his military obligations from Aug. 20, and likewise will participate in scheduled official activities without disruption until enlistment," adding, "We also ask that visits to the training center entrance ceremony site and the alternative service workplaces be refrained from."
It said, "Both Dokyeom and Vernon will be unable to participate in SEVENTEEN activities after they begin their service, but they will continue to meet CARATs through various preprepared content," adding, "Please give your love and support so that Dokyeom and Vernon can faithfully fulfill their military obligations and return in even healthier condition."
SEVENTEEN began fulfilling their duties starting with Jeonghan in 2024, and last year Hoshi and Woozi enlisted for active duty to fulfill their national defense obligations. Wonwoo also began alternative service last year.
They also announced on the 13th that they had signed their second full-group contract renewal with PLEDIS Entertainment Co.
