Actor So Jisub gave gold to every crew member on the SBS Friday-Saturday drama "Manager Kim" set.
On the 27th, posts spread on online communities and elsewhere that the production staff of Manager Kim received pure gold as a gift from So Jisub.
On the gold case were the words, "I felt great emotion and happiness working together on this project," and, "Thank you to everyone who always, quietly, in your own positions, made 'Manager Kim' shine. 'Manager Kim' So Jisub."
So Jisub was found to have given 1 gram of pure gold each to a total of 300 people, including fellow actors on this project and on-site production staff. To do this, the personal expenditure alone is estimated to have reached about 1 billion won in expense.
Regarding this, agency 51K said on the 27th that while it was cautious about revealing the exact amount, it conveyed that the gift was prepared with a pure heart as an encouragement to repay the staff on site who worked hard.
This is not the first time the story has surfaced of the actor sharing gold with colleagues. In June last year, when all filming for the Netflix original drama "Square" was completed, he also drew attention by handing out gold to the actors and on-site personnel who had worked hard together.
