According to Box Office Mojo, the film Odyssey, as of 7 a.m. on July 27 (Monday), not only ranked first at the North American box office for two consecutive weeks but also surpassed $639.6 million in global box office revenue (approximately 935.22 billion won), a remarkable feat. In fact, the global audience response to Odyssey has been explosive. It earned a 97% on Rotten Tomatoes' popcorn index and received the highest grade of A on CinemaScore, recognizing both its artistic merit and popular appeal and further brightening its box office prospects.
Recently, Vulture, a leading U.S. entertainment outlet, named Christopher Nolan the most influential Hollywood director, further proving his unmatched stature.
Jim Orr, head of North American distribution at Universal Pictures, said, "Christopher Nolan is one of the most trusted directors in history, and audiences know he will deliver a film that must be seen on the big screen," noting that "some theaters are already sold out for next week as well as the following week and weekday screenings," conveying not only Nolan's enormous influence but also the explosive global interest in Odyssey.
