Broadcaster Sam Hammington mentions the value of an Ohtani sports card.
On the 27th, in Channel A's Detectives' Trade Secrets segment "Detective 24 Hours," the pursuit continues from last week to find the mentor who changed actor Shin Hyun-joon's life, teacher Kim Eok-gwan.
In this episode, "Korea's first foreign comedian" Sam Hammington appears as a one-day detective. He refers to an adultery case that caused a huge stir in Australia 20 years ago. "At the time, a top-tier soccer team captain had an affair with the vice captain's wife and was expelled from the team," the story says, leaving everyone in shock.
Also, Defconn mentions that a singular Ohtani rookie card in the world was auctioned last month for a record-high 3.9 billion won and asks, "Sam, you're also a sports card collector, don't you have a limited Ohtani card? What is its current market price?"
Sam Hammington says, "It's a card of which only 25 exist worldwide," and reveals the dramatically increased current value, causing a stir in the studio. He adds, "Besides that, there are several more Ohtani rookie cards," prompting Defconn to exclaim, "Thanks to Ohtani, my retirement is settled."
