Singer and musical actress Bae Da-hae opened up about being mistaken for being pregnant after gaining weight during in vitro fertilization treatment.
On the 26th, a video titled "My honest review of a dermatologist procedure I paid for myself, dreamlike free time(?) whitening product recommendations" was released on Bae Da-hae's YouTube channel.
That day Bae Da-hae shared recent news, saying, "I don't usually catch colds easily, but after restarting in vitro fertilization I caught a cold immediately," and noted, "It progressed to laryngitis so I lost my voice for a while, but it has only just come back a little."
She then honestly talked about weight changes from the in vitro fertilization. Bae Da-hae said, "I gained a lot of weight while doing the IVF," and confessed, "People kept asking, 'Is there good news?' I was too annoyed to explain each time, so I stopped going to the gym for a while."
She added, "Now I don't worry about it and have started exercising again," and shared, "These days I swim four to five times a week, and because my hip joints aren't good I am also doing rehabilitative Pilates."
She also recently revealed daily life living with her 100-year-old father-in-law. Bae Da-hae said she has been enjoying some long-awaited alone time thanks to her parents-in-law and father-in-law spending time together, sharing a relaxed daily life.
Earlier, Bae Da-hae had candidly shared the difficulties of the IVF process several times. She said, "My body felt very heavy and it was hard," revealing the hardships of the treatment process, and disclosed that she experienced a miscarriage in 2024, receiving much support.
Meanwhile, Bae Da-hae, born in 1983, married Lee Jang-won of Peppertones in 2021, and is currently continuing in vitro fertilization treatments while waiting for a second child.
