Jun Hyun-moo overcame the burden of World Cup commentary on Boss in the Mirror and made viewers look forward to his marathon challenge.
On the afternoon of the 26th, former soccer player Lee Young-pyo appeared on the KBS 2TV variety show Boss in the Mirror (abbreviated Boss in the Mirror).
Lee Young-pyo, who is the same age as Jun Hyun-moo born in 1977, drew attention by co-hosting KBS's coverage of the 2026 North and Central America World Cup with him. Lee Young-pyo praised his close friend Jun Hyun-moo, saying "As soon as he returned to Korea he handed out rice cakes."
In response, Jun Hyun-moo said, "I handed out rice cakes at the KBS sports center. I was worried they might be upset because of me," showing that he was conscious of reactions to his first World Cup commentary challenge.
KBS sports center actually defended Jun Hyun-moo, saying, "He did well. He even called out players." Contrary to some harsh criticism, Jun Hyun-moo's World Cup commentary ratings drew a positive response, recording a 10.7% viewership.
Above all, Jun Hyun-moo emphasized how close they had become with Lee Young-pyo, saying, "We even swear now. We even throw around four-letter words at each other." Lee Young-pyo, controlling his close friend Jun Hyun-moo, also showed their friendship.
Lee Young-pyo revealed, "We agreed to start running together soon. This time Jun Hyun-moo plans to participate in a 10km marathon in November." Jun Hyun-moo, however, was taken aback, saying, "I'm hearing this for the first time today."
To that, Lee Young-pyo admitted frankly, "We haven't reached an agreement yet," and said, "You're going to run (the marathon)," which made Jun Hyun-moo nervous. Boss in the Mirror member Park Myung Soo cheered on Jun Hyun-moo, saying, "You went to the World Cup, so a marathon is nothing."
