Broadcaster Choi Eunkyong revealed the story of receiving a monthly salary of 10 won in the past.

That day, Choi Eunkyong invited KBS announcer juniors Yoon Ji-young and Guk Hye-jung to her home and served a restorative meal including gusu-gye and raw fish salad. While they were eating, Yoon Ji-young said, "At that time there was a mutual aid association in the KBS basement. If you bought something from that mutual aid association, it would be deducted from your salary. At that time, salaries were issued on paper."
She continued, "Weren't you curious how much seniors earned? I saw Choi Eunkyong's pay slip and peeked, and the pay was 10 won. The mutual aid association bought everything," revealing that the mutual aid association had used up the salary amount.
The production team was surprised, and Yoon Ji-young asked, "What did the mutual aid association buy?" Choi Eunkyong confessed, "They bought home appliances and things like that, so seniors would walk by and toss 10 won and say, 'Here, it's your pay.'"
