KiiiKiii is raising expectations for their new mini album to a peak with teasing content that offers a glimpse of their unique sensibility.
Starship Entertainment recently released on KiiiKiii's official social media channels the content "A Day in WhyKiiiKiii," which captures the overall mood of mini album 3, "WhyKiiiKiii(와이키키)." This promotion is structured like a single tour course representing 24 hours of a summer day, catching attention. Through content opened in a relay every four hours starting at 7 a.m., fans were able to enjoy the unique pleasure of spending the whole day on a "WhyKiiiKiii" tour with KiiiKiii.
In particular, each timed video drew attention by including portions of new album tracks. Starting with "Ever 2 Late(에버 투 레이트)," which depicts the clear, refreshing excitement of a 7 a.m. morning, followed by the relaxed-sounding "Hey Hi(헤이 하이)," the kitschy "Pop Off Pop Off(팝 오프 팝 오프)" reminiscent of 2010s pop music videos, and "SWEET SOUR(스윗 사워)," which carries the afterglow of friendship and memories, which were unveiled sequentially. Then came "Candy Pink Magic Hole Flip Phone (나 어떡해)," notable for its alert-tone sound, and the mysterious predawn mood of "Blue Hour(블루 아워)," unfolding organically to leave a strong impression. From house dance pop to electronic synth-pop and hyperpop, various genres foreshadow KiiiKiii's wide musical spectrum.
Along with this, the previously curious official website's "Girls Duty Free(걸스 듀티 프리)" content was revealed. Conceived as a concept selling a variety of virtual items infused with the new album's mood, it offers the members' amusing real-use reviews and photos, once again proving KiiiKiii's distinctive wit and Gen Z–style planning.
Not merely leaving a first impression but heralding music and performances that are more three-dimensional and solid, KiiiKiii's mini album 3, "WhyKiiiKiii," will be officially released through various on- and offline channels on Aug. 10.
