'Manager Kim' So Jisub reunited with his daughter and ended with a happy ending.
On the 25th, the final episode of the SBS Friday-Saturday drama 'Manager Kim' (written by Nam Daejoong, directed by Lee Seungyoung and Lee So-eun) depicted Manager Kim (So Jisub) finishing everything and returning to his daughter Kim Minji (Seo Sumin).
Manager Kim was surrounded by Lee Eungryeong and put in danger, but with Jung Sanga (Son Naeun) joining, he was able to avoid harm. After safely avoiding harm, Manager Kim and his party met Park Gangseong (Kim Sungkyu), who asked about the truth related to Park Younggwang (Ok Taecyeon)'s death, and Manager Kim replied, "I couldn't save your brother." In particular, when Park Gangseong asked why Manager Kim was protecting Lee Eungryeong, Manager Kim persuaded him, saying, "Protecting someone precious is more important than killing an enemy," and Park Gangseong believed Manager Kim's words that there would be another chance and holstered his gun.
Manager Kim and Jung Sanga called after hearing that Seong Hansu and Park Jinchul, whose son and daughter had been kidnapped, had taken Joo Gangchan in a car, but the answer they received was, "Manager Kim, I'm sorry. If you don't come, the children will die. Please, I beg you." Manager Kim sent Jung Sanga and Lee Eungryeong to the hospital and moved alone. When Manager Kim arrived at the agreed place, he came face to face with Joo Gangchan, who was threatening the children's lives as hostages.
Joo Gangchan told Seong Hansu and Park Jinchul that the children would live only if they killed Manager Kim and provoked a confrontation. Manager Kim said to the hesitant Seong Hansu and Park Jinchul, "What are you doing? The kids are looking for their dad," and the two burst into rage and struck Manager Kim with fists and kicks. Manager Kim left the words, "Save Taehoon (Yang Junseok) and Dabin (Lee Nayeon). And please take good care of our Minji (Seo Sumin)," while subtly indicating how to free the children from the cage. When Joo Gangchan approached the cage as the start signal, Manager Kim grabbed his collar, and Seong Hansu and Park Jinchul broke the cage, successfully rescuing the children. Park Jinchul and Seong Hansu asked Kang Ji-yeong (Kang Ji-yeong) to protect the children and then moved again to help Manager Kim. Joo Gangchan was found hanging from the roof of a building.
As the South and North representatives met after the agreement to sort out the events of the previous night, the North representative decided to report to the party that they had executed Lee Eungryeong and Manager Kim. Lee Eungryeong, who received treatment at the hospital, demanded asylum in Macau and handed over the information she knew. After the investigation that night, Manager Kim, disguised as a doctor, abducted Lee Eungryeong and handed her over to Park Gangseong, who had promised a "next chance." Park Gangseong said, "It would be a shame to kill an enemy in one fell swoop," and, "Make sure you and your daughter survive. I will make sure I survive too," and Manager Kim, recalling his last moments with Park Younggwang, replied, "Make sure you survive." The military reacted that they had received all the information even with Lee Eungryeong's abduction and that it was rather for the best.
Manager Kim handled his personal affairs after asking for Juhak Construction to be dismantled because it was related to his daughter. The North also declared '66' dead, and Minji wept at the columbarium where her father and mother were enshrined together. Manager Kim appeared before Minji without his glasses off and said, "I'm back. I will never leave again. I will always be by our daughter's side," sharing the joy of reunion. Meanwhile, Juhak Construction collapsed as various corruptions were revealed. Joo Gangchan was attacked by a gold-toothed assailant during his arrest, and Joo Hyeri (Yoo Jian), who was in Cambodia, was also arrested.
Manager Kim told his daughter Minji to start anew in a new place. Minji also said, "This life was not fun," and looked forward to a new life. Kim Minji became 'Kim Jimin,' and Manager Kim also received a new manual. With support from the Special Missions Bureau, Manager Kim set out on a new life and for the first time revealed his real name to Mr. Im (Park Jinwoo), the laundromat owner who had gifted him a suit.
With everyone returning to their daily lives, Manager Kim, Seong Hansu, and Park Jinchul got new glasses. Manager Kim then met Lee Dokyu, the head of Baekho manpower office, and demonstrated his skills.
