Lawyer and broadcaster Seo Dong-ju shared that she is preparing to become pregnant again after the pain of a missed miscarriage and expressed her deep affection for her family.
Seo Dong-ju recently wrote on social media, "I am so happy to have Yeong-seok, who can laugh while looking in the same direction. But looking at the photo again, our Rea was also looking in the same direction."
She continued, "Happiness may not be in something grand but may be hidden in moments like these when we look in the same direction," and revealed her overflowing feelings, saying, "What more could I ask for when my beloved family and babies are by my side?" She also said, "There are times in life when you want more than you need," adding, "At those times I recall one by one the blessings I have already received. I am grateful that there is someone to laugh with, a home to return to safely, and beings I can tell I love."
She also released photos of a comfortable daily life with her husband and pet dog, adding warmth.
Seo Dong-ju married a non-celebrity man four years her junior last year, and after succeeding in pregnancy through in vitro fertilization she openly confessed that she experienced a missed miscarriage, receiving much support. At the time she said, "I did everything I could—getting injections and taking medicine every day—because I wanted to protect the baby somehow," and revealed, "We even confirmed the gestational sac and yolk sac, but when I went to the hospital everything had stopped."
She later revealed that she has not given up on pregnancy and is preparing for in vitro fertilization again. Recently on her YouTube channel she said, "I hope I can retrieve eggs this time," revealing that she continues to prepare for in vitro fertilization.
She said, "I am in an open chatroom for people in their 40s and above preparing for in vitro fertilization," adding, "I get a lot of help and there is a lot of useful information." She also confessed, "Comfort differs by age and situation. Talking with people in similar situations has given me great comfort."
Above all, she cited her husband as the biggest reason she was able to endure the difficult time. Seo Dong-ju said, "Whenever I faced hardships my husband was a great support. I thought I took a long route to meet this person," and expressed affection, saying, "He even prepares breakfast every morning. I am so grateful."
She went on to say, "Honestly, I'm scared of going through the same thing again," but calmly expressed her resolve, saying, "Still, hope is greater than fear. If my body allows, I want to try again carefully."
