The group TWS (TWS) raised expectations for their Japan comeback to a peak with their signature refreshing summer vibe.
TWS released the first music video teaser for the title track of their second Japanese single, 'SODA SODA (soda soda),' on their official YouTube channel at 10 p.m. on the 24th. The energetic video, which fully captures the cool summer of passionate youth, captivated global fans.
In the released video, TWS members are shown busily working at a beachside stand, dancing together, leaning on each other and enjoying a relaxed moment. The members' fresh energy combined with the expansive blue sea scenery completed TWS's unique refreshing sensibility.
The title track 'SODA SODA' is a song that features a groovy bass based on modern city pop and analog synthesizer sounds. In particular, members Kyungmin, Youngjae and Jihoon participated in the composition themselves, showcasing their musical abilities, and the title, which is the same as the album name, adds wit by using the double meaning of 'SODA,' referring to carbonated drinks, and the Japanese word souda (そうだ: that's right), which expresses affirmation. The lyrics, which depict excitement poised to burst like carbonation, pique curiosity about the full song.
The single, officially released on Aug. 4, includes three well-rounded tracks: 'SODA SODA,' which preserves the sparkling moments of youth; the album track 'Palm Tree,' which carries a relaxed message of 'let's fully enjoy the summer'; and the Japanese version of the title track of their second Korean mini-album, 'If I'm S then you be my N.'
Meanwhile, TWS will continue the excitement by opening the second music video teaser for 'SODA SODA' on the 31st. On Sept. 3 they will pre-release the title track's audio and the full music video, and on the following day, the 4th, they will officially release their second single and begin full-scale comeback activities.
