Actor Kwon Areum is dating YouTuber J-Movie, and it has been confirmed that she received a public proposal.
On the 24th, OSEN reported that last year Kwon Areum received a proposal from J-Movie (real name Na Hyun-gap) and they have been seeing each other with marriage as the premise.
Last November, J-Movie staged a special event with a public proposal to Kwon Areum during the "M drone light show" held at Gwangalli Beach in Busan.
Gwangalli regularly holds an event that performs drone shows for stories selected through a homepage contest. In response, J-Movie submitted a story directly and proposed to Kwon Areum in front of many people watching.
Through the drone show, J-Movie proposed with affectionate two-shot photos with Kwon Areum and comments such as "Areum, I rented out this Gwangalli sea just for you" and "I'll make you happy for the rest of your life. Kwon Areum, will you marry me?" The audience cheered, and videos capturing the scene spread online, earning praise as an "all-time Gwangalli public proposal" and drawing attention.
According to officials, Kwon Areum and J-Movie began dating last year after being introduced by an acquaintance and have been seeing each other for over a year. The two have followed each other's SNS account, left likes on each other's posts, and visited each other's homes, openly nurturing their relationship.
Their unrestrained actions culminated in the public proposal. With confirmation that she received a proposal beyond a simple romance, interest is turning to whether they will marry.
Regarding this, Kwon Areum's agency Luke Media told OSEN, "It is true that Kwon Areum is dating J-Movie," and acknowledged the relationship by asking people to look on it kindly. However, the agency was cautious and refrained from commenting on specific matters such as marriage.
Born in 1996, Kwon Areum met the public through Lim Han-byeol's music video "You are my everything" and began her acting career in 2020 with the web drama "Likes Feed Me." She went on to build her acting resume with works including "To X Who Does Not Love Me", "Missing: The Other Side 2", "Joseon Attorney", "National Death Penalty Vote", "The Contracted Marriage Tale of Lady Yeonrye", and "Beyond The Bar".
