[OSEN=Reporter Kim Su-hyeong Actor Ha Seok-jin candidly shared his thoughts on marriage and dating.
The cooking skills of Ha Seok-jin were revealed on the KBS2 show Stars' Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant, which airs on the 23rd.
That day Ha Seok-jin introduced the chef character in the drama he will soon appear in. He explained, "In the drama, he is a chef who was born into what is considered a wealthy family and, instead of inheriting the family business, opens his own restaurant without his parents' help."
Ha Seok-jin will pair with former EXID member Ahn Heeyeon (Hanni) in the KBS2 weekend drama Love On The Menu, which premieres on the 25th.
The MCs continued, "We understand his family home is actually wealthy," and mentioned the Cheongdam-dong house owned outright and the lavish home that had been shown on past broadcasts and YouTube. In response, Ha Seok-jin smiled and said, "I am a middle-aged man who uses a modest kitchen."
When someone said, "You have a house and you cook well, aren't you a top groom candidate?" he shared a realistic concern. Ha Seok-jin said, "There is always pressure to get married," and added, "I try not to talk with my mother for more than three minutes," which drew laughter.
Asked whether he is currently dating, he answered, "I do not have a girlfriend right now," and added, "It is not that I haven't had one for years." On his plans for marriage he drew a line, saying, "I am not thinking about dating or marriage right now." On his ideal type he said, "I like someone who enjoys even the unexpected dishes I prepare," which attracted attention.
When a cast member asked, "Since you're handsome by nature, don't you practice any special gestures?" Ha Seok-jin responded with his typically restrained wit, "I was simply thinking about the next recipe."
Regarding his usual cooking style he said, "I often cook by raiding the refrigerator," and promised, "After honing my cooking skills while doing the drama, I will return as a guest chef on the show."
