Singer and actor P.O (Pyo Jihoon) was thriving with the global success of the Netflix series Teach You a Lesson when it was revealed that he had been involved in a traffic accident in Jeju Island.
On the 22nd, his agency Artist Company said "the injuries from the accident are minor" and "next week's scheduled filming is expected to proceed as planned."
Earlier, P.O was reported to have been struck by a vehicle while crossing a road in Hallim-eup, Jeju City, on the afternoon of the 19th.
As a result of the accident, P.O injured his elbow and knee and was taken to a hospital, but fortunately the injuries are not serious. He is expected to carry on with the scheduled drama and variety show filming without changes.
The accident news is all the more regrettable because P.O recently expressed gratitude for the global success of Teach You a Lesson.
On the recently aired tvN variety show Amazing Saturday, seeing P.O in a suit from the drama "Working Tomorrow," someone greeted him with "That's the person from Teach You a Lesson, right?" and Boom joked, "Stop teaching P.O a lesson," provoking laughter. In response, P.O said, "Thank you for loving me so much," and expressed gratitude for Teach You a Lesson ranking No. 1 globally.
When Boom asked, "Now that you're No. 1 globally, what's the biggest change? Do you get a lot of DMs?" P.O smiled and replied, "More than that, I just feel good," adding, "I'm very happy because my family and acquaintances are celebrating with me."
Meanwhile, P.O received praise for his role as Bong Geun-dae in last month's released Netflix series Teach You a Lesson. He has confirmed an appearance in SBS's Good Partner season 2 as his next project and is also active as a regular member of tvN's Amazing Saturday.
