Singer Mir (real name Bang Cheol-yong) revealed recent news that his nephew Jo Ha-jin, whom he once discouraged from debuting in the entertainment industry, is active as an actor.
On the 22nd, Jo Ha-jin posted behind-the-scenes photos from the Netflix original series "East Palace" on his social media.
He said, "I appeared as an image bit part, but I learned a lot on set and it was a good experience. They took good care of me so I felt very comfortable. Thank you for taking pictures. "East Palace" fighting!"
The released photos showed Jo Ha-jin in period drama makeup. He also released a proof shot taken with actress Jang Young-nam, who plays Daebi Mama in the drama. Jo Ha-jin appeared as the third prince in "East Palace" and debuted as an actor last year through the drama "Catch Your Luck."
Jo Ha-jin became known through the YouTube channel "Bangga-ne" run by actress Go Eun-a and singer Mir, siblings.
In particular, Mir drew attention in the past by showing a negative reaction to his nephew's entry into the entertainment industry. In a 2023 video released on "Bangga-ne," older sister Bang Hyo-seon said, "Ha-jin received casting offers from major agencies twice." Mir also recalled the situation, saying, "There was even casting contact from my brother-in-law's friend's company."
But when his nephew mentioned wanting to become an entertainer in the future, Mir discouraged him, saying, "Hey, what are you going to do as an entertainer?"
