Group CORTIS is solidifying its position as a "global trend" as it continues long-running success on major domestic and international music charts.
On the 24th, according to global music platform Apple Music, CORTIS's mini album 2 title track "REDRED" defended the No. 1 spot on the "Top 100 today: South Korea" chart for the 90th day. After first reaching the top on April 26, it has never relinquished the No. 1 position. This is the longest-running record among domestic releases this year and the second-longest record in history following BTS's 2020 megahit "Dynamite", which logged 112 weeks. It is considered an unusual achievement for a first-year boy group to dominate music charts, a barometer of popularity, for such an extended period.
CORTIS's music power is being proven on other platforms as well. On Spotify, the world's largest audio and music streaming platform, it rose to No. 1 for the 80th time on the "Daily top songs Korea" chart (as of the 22nd), and it held the top spot for 12 consecutive weeks on the "Weekly top songs Korea" chart (counting July 10-16). It has also appeared on the "Weekly top songs global" chart for 12 weeks, setting the longest entry record among K-pop boy groups that debuted in the past five years. On Korea YouTube Music's "Weekly popular songs" chart, it secured No. 1 for five consecutive weeks, demonstrating powerful influence.
Meanwhile, having proven strong buzz by sweeping music charts, CORTIS is taking steps onto the global stage. They will be the only K-pop boy group this year to perform at the large U.S. music festival Lollapalooza Chicago on July 31 and Aug. 1 (local time).
They will then hold their first tour, 2026 CORTIS TOUR IN NORTH AMERICA, starting Aug. 4 in Toronto, Canada, and touring six North American cities including New York and San Francisco, connecting with global fans. After the North American tour, they will hold solo performances to mark their first anniversary on Aug. 22 and 23 at Korea University Hwajeong Gymnasium in Seoul, spending a meaningful time.
