HYBE-GEPPEN Record's global girl group KATSEYE has returned with a bolder, more deadly allure.
KATSEYE simultaneously released the digital single "Animal" and its music video worldwide today (24th) at 1 p.m. Korea time.
This new song "Animal" keenly explores the tension between the glamorous image on stage and the unrestrained energy that awakens beneath it. It stylishly expresses the irresistible instincts and wildness latent inside through upbeat rhythms, dynamic beats and an earworm hook. Provocative lyrics such as "You move like an animal" and captivating vocals instantly enthrall listeners.
Global singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran participated as a co-writer, lending strength to the track, and Johnny McDaid of Snow Patrol, Grammy-winning producer Blake Slatkin, and hitmaker Omer Fedi joined forces on the project.
The unveiled music video sensually depicts the moment reason and instinct collide like a suspenseful erotic film. It features bold choreography and facial expressions that evoke animal claws, and Hollywood legend Demi Moore makes a surprise cameo, leaving a strong impression. The video was again directed by Cody Critchello, who helmed KATSEYE's hit "Touch," capturing their relaxed confidence in a trendy way.
KATSEYE, which debuted in the United States based on HYBE chairman Bang Si-hyuk's "K-pop methodology," achieved remarkable growth within two years of debut. They not only conquered major festivals such as Coachella but also won three awards, including "new artist of the year," at the 2026 American Music Awards (AMA) in May and secured two nominations at the 68th Grammy Awards, solidifying their status as a global trend.
Meanwhile, KATSEYE's third EP, WILD, which includes the new song "Animal," will be released on Aug. 14. Ahead of the album release, their first theatrical documentary, KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS, will be presented on Aug. 12, and beginning in September they will embark on a large-scale world tour, THE WILDWORLD Tour, with 31 shows across 10 countries in North America and Europe to connect with fans worldwide.<
