Hwang Shin-hye also asked, "When did you start trot?" Kim Soo-chan said, "I used to sing trot since middle school. At some point when I went to a performance venue and heard trot accompaniment, my heart would race. I would get uplifted, and decisively I saw senior Nam Jin perform and even someone watching him thought he was sexy," he said.
He continued, "In the first year of high school I did a talent show at school and won first place. I received the grand prize," saying he had chosen and sung Nam Jin's "Dungji", "Nayana" and others.
