Actor Hwang Jung-min revealed his son's surprisingly good Japanese skills.
On the 23rd, Choo Sung Hoon's YouTube channel released a video titled 'The three middle-aged men whose mouths won't stop at the hof's nogari gathering (ft. they say it's funny)'. That day Hwang Jung-min shared an episode about a recent trip to Japan he took with his family.
Hwang Jung-min said "My son said he was good at Japanese from watching Enny, but I was half in doubt," adding, "But when we went to Japan I was really surprised to see him speaking fluently in Japanese from the subway to the ryokan."
He went on to say, "He speaks well but can't read the characters," and noted, "Because he learned expressions from Enny, he says 'let's go quickly' like 'let's go at the speed of light,'" which drew laughter.
In response, Choo Sung Hoon said, "In Hawaii, leaving a young child home alone is against the law," and Hwang Jung-min recalled his son's experience at an overseas camp.
Hwang Jung-min said, "My son also attended summer and winter camps in Hawaii. We sent him to learn English, but his English did not improve," and added, "On the contrary, the foreign children came back having learned Korean," which sent the set into peals of laughter.
