Time has started to move again for the group NewJeans.
As NewJeans marks its fourth debut anniversary, it has signaled a full-fledged return, raising fans' expectations. After releasing a special film commemorating their fourth anniversary, they posted a series of photos and video content on their official social media channels.
On the 23rd, NewJeans' official channels uploaded several photos with the caption "NewJeans' 4th anniversary (4 Years of NewJeans)." The released photos ranged from individual shots of the members, starting with Min-ji and including Hye-in, Hanni and Haerin, to group cuts.
Above all, by featuring Min-ji—whose return had not been officially announced—first, reactions and expectations have grown that the group may be signaling a return to activities with four members.
The NewJeans members were gathered looking unchanged. Their signature lovable, lively atmosphere and girlish sensibility remained. Min-ji showed a more mature air and appeared cheerful with the other members.
Along with the photos, a challenge video was released that drew attention. Haerin performed a "kkung-sit kkung-sit" challenge to the song "Otsukare SUMMER" by Japanese singer Harukari. Min-ji showed a coy and lovely walk to the Cool & the Gang song "Get Down On It."
Also, Hanni shouted "I will always love you (ⁱ ʷⁱˡˡ ᵃˡʷᵃʸˢ ˡᵒᵛᵉ you)" while playing the guitar, and finally Hye-in jumped over a sign that read "This text can't stop me! From loving BUNNIES." and stepped toward the camera. It was content full of NewJeans' playful charm.
Earlier on the 22nd, NewJeans drew fans' attention by posting a special video on their official channels to mark their fourth debut anniversary. This was their first official activity in about two years since the Japanese debut single "Supernatural," released in the summer of 2024. It attracted even more interest because it showed Min-ji, whose participation had not been officially announced, appearing with the group.
