The leader Yochi of the group POW declared a leap forward with a new song that fully embodies the team's musical identity.
Ahead of the release of the new single album FLAVOR on the 28th, POW released today (23rd) the Yochi episode of its own content Grid Family on its official SNS channels. This video honestly captures Yochi's passionate music philosophy, exceptional perseverance, and the process of preparing the new release.
In the released video, Yochi candidly reveals that he was shy and afraid of cameras since childhood. He then confesses his heartfelt affection for the fans who lifted him up, saying that his fear disappears when he stands on stage and hears the fans' cheers. In response, member Hong-eun expressed boundless trust in their reliable leader, saying Yochi is truly someone who does not know how to give up.
This content in particular also showcases Yochi's versatile "all-rounder" side. It unveils behind-the-scenes of sweat-drenched action shoots from the Thai horror film Kisada Paradise in which he starred, as well as his Billboard Korea English interview. Members Jeong-bin and Hong-eun reportedly marveled at his relentless diligence and sense of responsibility, saying Yochi is someone who, once determined, will reduce sleep to perfectly finish something.
Yochi, who led the producing of the entire album, said he hoped the music would stay by listeners like a friend when they feel lonely, and added that he considered what music best suits POW. He expressed confidence that he focused on bringing out each of the five members' distinctive "flavors." At the title track directing site, producer Yochi added that it was his first time making a title track for the team and he felt truly proud that both the company and the members were satisfied.
At the end of the video, Yochi revealed a weighty ambition, saying he would do anything for his dream, that he would regret it if he did not act now, and that he is a man who does not know how to give up. POW's new single album FLAVOR, which will show the group's musical growth, will be released on the 28th (Tue) at 6 p.m. on various online music sites.<
