Singer-songwriter Lee Seung-yoon returned to the 'Space Sympathy' stage after four years, delivering an overwhelming live performance and a stage full of sincerity.
The EBS program Space Sympathy, broadcast on the 22nd, presented Lee Seung-yoon's solo concert under the subheading "Drawing O." Since his first appearance in 2022, Lee Seung-yoon, returning to the stage, said "I was a first-album artist then, but now I have returned as a fourth-album artist," expressing his deep feelings.
He went on to say "There wasn't a single song I wanted to cut, so I asked if I could perform 20 songs," and at the concert he completed an all-time set list by performing a total of 22 songs, including "Eopseulgeol," "Mueol Humchiji," "Dwichyeokineun Heowool," and "Poonyeom."
The concert began gorgeously with "Waterfall." From the first song, which drew explosive cheers, Lee Seung-yoon, on the following "Gain warning" stage, stood the entire audience to their feet and brought the venue's energy to a peak. The solid band sound combined with the audience's chorus filled the scene with a festival-like atmosphere.
Lee Seung-yoon named "The moon is really pretty," one of the songs he cherishes most in his musical life. He introduced it as "the song I would choose if I could take only one song to the grave," calling it a "song I want to emulate." He then shared a heartfelt message, saying "the more I live, meet people and age, the more I realize how difficult life is," which delivered a deep resonance.
On the broadcast, he also directly explained the meaning contained in his fourth full-length album, "0 album." Lee Seung-yoon said it was an album completed by reworking unfinished songs he had once released but had not properly put out into the world, introducing it as "'0 album' is a home for songs that were too embarrassing or regrettable to call official albums and for scattered pieces of music." He added that he hoped it would "continue like a single circle (O) with no beginning or end."
Toward the end of the concert, he ran with the audience in "fireworks time" and "Yeokseong," matching their rhythm. Lee Seung-yoon expressed his thanks, saying "I didn't expect to stand on a stage like this again in four years. Thank you for letting me live this time," and added his musical philosophy, saying "Music seems to start in my room, head to someone else's room, and eventually return to my room. As long as I make music, I want to remain a room-corner musician," which added to the emotion.
