With only two episodes left until its finale, Manager Kim will finish on a high note.
SBS Friday-Saturday drama Manager Kim (written by Nam Dae-joong, directed by Lee Seung-young and Lee So-eun) will conclude its grand finale after episode 10, which airs on the 25th.
Manager Kim is a father-versus-universe revenge action drama in which the 'most ordinary' father becomes the 'most dangerous' man to get back his only daughter, and after its first broadcast on the 26th of last month it bids a reluctant farewell to viewers after about a month.
Manager Kim began with a premiere rating of 9.5% (Nielsen Korea nationwide), and recorded 15.7% for episode 2, 18.8% for episode 3, 21.6% for episode 4, 22.3% for episode 6 and 23.1% for episode 8. Episode 8 in particular reached a peak of 26.2%, setting another series high, ranked first across all channels in the same time slot, and recorded a 2049 rating averaging 7.6% and peaking at 8.59%.
In the last episode, Manager Kim (So Jisub) jumped into his final mission to start a new life with his daughter Min-ji (Seo Sumin), but found himself in the ironic position of having to protect his long-time enemy Lee Eung-ryeong (Lee Jae-yong). Believing there was a traitor within the special missions bureau, Manager Kim sought refuge at Park Jin-chul's (Yoon Kyung-ho) hideout to find a breakthrough, but he was eventually surrounded by the special missions bureau and, with Min-ji taken hostage, everything was on the verge of collapse. Viewers are left wondering what final gambit Manager Kim will make to protect his daughter.
With only two episodes left until its finale, Manager Kim is on the schedule. According to SBS's programming, episode 10, which airs on the 25th, will be broadcast at 9:45 p.m., five minutes earlier than its usual time. SBS said that some lead and supporting actors and a small number of head staff plan to have a meal together and watch the final broadcast, so everyone plans to watch the last episode and finish on a high note.
