The show I Met a Psychopath has changed its broadcast slot to Sunday night, and the set was stirred by Kyuhyun's unexpected confession.
MBN·SBS Plus I Met a Psychopath (hereinafter "I Met a Psychopath") announced it will move from its current slot to Sundays at 10:20 p.m. starting on the 26th.
I Met a Psychopath is a true-story-based thriller talk program that deals with real accounts of encounters with people with antisocial personality disorder who cunningly hide among us. It recently ranked No. 2 in the entertainment category of Netflix's "Korea TOP 10" series and secured a top position in Coupang Play's "This Week TOP 20."
In episode 3, airing on the 26th, under the theme "save us from evil," the stories of villains who used false beliefs to drive people's lives into hell will be unveiled. The ugly face of cults that extort money, commit sexual exploitation and cause family breakdowns will be exposed, and storytellers Jun Hyun-moo, Kyuhyun, Nucksal and Heo Yeong are expected to be shocked.
At a recent recording, Kyuhyun made the explosive remark, "I've often thought I'd like to visit a cult gathering at least once," which set the scene buzzing. Kyuhyun explained, "I was full of doubt like, 'Why on earth would someone believe that? It makes no sense,'" but Jun Hyun-moo, who knows Kyuhyun well, could not hold back and scolded, "You silly know-it-all!" while wagging his finger, reportedly sending the studio into peals of laughter.
This episode will reveal a brutal true story of people who, blinded by the mistaken belief that getting into a prestigious university was everything, fell into a cult and pushed their children into a pit of suffering. Watching the story, Jun Hyun-moo sighed deeply and erupted in anger, calling it "a very bad version of 'Sky Castle.'"
After the recording, the four MCs reportedly said in unison, "This is by far the No. 1 story among I Met a Psychopath episodes to date," drawing out viewers' curiosity. Attention is focused on a story billed as an "all-time spicy" case that shows reality can be scarier than thrillers.
The producers asked viewers to look forward to the show, saying, "Now that we've moved to Sunday nights, we will more sharply and tensely pinpoint the warning signs of antisocial personalities hidden in ordinary life."
