EPEX member Baek Seung is attracting attention for his bishounen visuals.
Baek Seung appeared as the new episode's protagonist, "the handsome boy at the intersection," on the variety content "A moment so cute: such idols exist" released on the SBS KPOP YouTube channel on the 22nd.
That day, Baek Seung, wearing gyaru-o makeup and appearing in a busy shopping district, captured the attention of the production staff and all citizens with a face like "dice 7" despite the heavy makeup. Baek Seung also drew laughs with quirky moments such as saying "my face looks funny on camera" and greeting a overturned creature.
Purely driving buzz with his visuals, Baek Seung is being called "male Risenne" among Zenith (EPEX's official fandom name) and K-pop fandoms, creating expectations for a bigger rise.
In fact, EPEX's mini seventh album released last month, SoHwa (韶華) : Epilogue (SoHwa : Epilogue) title track "ECHO" drew attention through various content, and Baek Seung's SBS Inkigayo face cam proved popular with 170,000 views on YouTube as a single video.
Having successfully completed "ECHO" promotions, Baek Seung will continue his busy schedule by appearing as D.N.X member Tae-oh in the new tvN Monday-Tuesday drama "My Bias, My Boss," which premieres on Aug. 3. With striking visuals and stage presence as well as boundless variety skills and acting potential all proven at once, attention is focused on what diverse activities Baek Seung will pursue in the future.
Meanwhile, EPEX, which Baek Seung belongs to, will hold the fourth solo concert "ECHO" tour in Tokyo on Aug. 21 and Taipei on Sept. 12. Before that, they will hold their first solo fan meeting in the local market, "Echo of Youth / 青春回响 (Echo of Youth)," in Guangzhou, China, on the 26th of this month, and on Aug. 8 they will attend the "2026 Weibo Cultural Communication Night" held in Bangkok, Thailand, continuing their global activities.<
