The girl group BBGIRLS is kicking off full-scale comeback activities with a refreshing summer song that will blow away this summer's heat.
BBGIRLS (Min-young, Eun-ji, Yu-na) will make a surprise appearance on Mnet's music program M Countdown, airing today (23rd) at 6 p.m., unveiling the stage for their new single "BODY WAVE" for the first time on music broadcast.
The new song "BODY WAVE," released on the 16th, is a dance track that sensibly blends tropical synth sounds brimming with freshness and a heart-pounding, intense mumbaton rhythm. Through this M Countdown stage, fans can expect to see BBGIRLS' characteristically cool and solid vocal ability as well as a 200% addictive performance that will keep eyes from looking away even for a moment.
In particular, the choreography's killing point is the lively whole-body movement in time with the instantly catchy, straightforward chorus "head wave, waist wave, hip wave, leg wave." The distinctive choreography, combined with a highly addictive melody, is expected to raise the stage's heat to its peak, offering viewers both visual and auditory enjoyment at the same time.
This release is a song BBGIRLS has presented with painstaking care after a full year and two months, and the members actively stepped forward from the planning stage to enhance its completeness. Member Min-young showcased her artistic capabilities by crediting herself as a co-producer, lyricist, and on the chorus sessions, and Eun-ji and Yu-na also contributed to the overall production from staff composition to production, building BBGIRLS' distinct color.
The music video, which features a dazzling lineup of cameos, includes surprise appearances by entertainer Kwon Hyuk-soo and comedian Hong Seong-hyun, as well as Bae Seul-gi, Kwachu-hyung, MacDaddy and a variety of people from unimaginable fields, vividly bringing out the group's uniquely cheerful and hip mood.
Since their debut in 2011, BBGIRLS, who cemented themselves as the representative "summer queen" of the music industry by writing mega-hit comeback stories with songs like "Rollin'" and "We Ride," are attracting attention to see whether they can once again conquer the summer music scene with this new song.
Meanwhile, BBGIRLS, who are launching a spectacular signal flare on today's M Countdown, will consecutively appear on KBS2's MUSIC BANK on the 24th, MBC's Show! Music Core on the 25th, and SBS' Inkigayo on the 26th.
