YG Entertainment has launched a large-scale global audition for the first time in two years and officially kicked off efforts to discover the next-generation stars who will lead the global music market beyond K-pop.
YG Entertainment said in an official statement today (22) that it will hold the "2026 YG GLOBAL AUDITION" from July through December. building on the hot response to the special audition "GO! DEBUT" held earlier this year, the company says this time it intends to directly seek out hidden talents from around the world.
This global audition launched its successful first signal flare on the 19th in Beijing, China. the tour continues through major Chinese cities, including Chengdu (July 25), Shanghai (Aug. 1) and Shenzhen (Aug. 9), and then moves on to Tokyo (Aug. 9) and Osaka (Sept. 20) in Japan.
Starting in the United States in October, the tour will visit Taiwan and Hong Kong, then Thailand and Canada in November, and conclude in December with Australia and New Zealand in the Oceania region, covering the globe.
There are no restrictions on gender or nationality, and any young person born between 2008 and 2015 may apply. the range of fields has also been expanded. in addition to the existing singing, rap, dance and visual categories, acting and specialty fields have been newly added to embrace applicants' diverse talents.
Pre-registration and on-site registration methods will vary by city. specific audition venues and dates will be revealed sequentially through the YG audition official website and social media channels, and applicants can conveniently pre-register via the QR code on the poster.
