Rookie actress Han Chae-rin has been suddenly cast in MBC's new Friday-Saturday drama A Bona fide Killer, transforming into an enthusiastic, passionate rookie reporter.
Han Chae-rin's agency, Hodoo&U Entertainment, announced on the 22nd that Han Chae-rin will appear in MBC's new Friday-Saturday drama A Bona fide Killer (planned by Kwon Seong-chang / written by Kim Eun-hee / directed by Yoon Jong-ho, Kim Ji-hun).
In the drama, Han Chae-rin plays Gu Hae-na, a junior to hot-blooded reporter Kwon Tae-sung (played by Jung Jun-won) and a rookie reporter with overflowing sense of duty and enthusiasm. Gu Hae-na is a social affairs reporter for the outlet Not Today, who passionately follows her direct mentor Kwon Tae-sung while unhesitatingly navigating reporting scenes that are unpredictable. Together with Kwon Tae-sung, she is expected to deliver an exceptional senior-junior chemistry as they run to the scenes of various incidents and accidents.
Through the character Gu Hae-na, who has just begun working life, Han Chae-rin is expected to bring a bold yet fresh energy to viewers' living rooms. In particular, she will represent those days when passion burned hotter than anyone else's and will be active as a relatable character that reminds viewers of the "first" moments everyone has passed through.
Through her agency, Han Chae-rin expressed heartfelt gratitude, saying, I am honored to be able to work with respected seniors and a great project. She added, Although I am not perfect yet, please warmly watch Hae-na as she grows little by little even if clumsy, and please look forward to it.
Debuting last year with the drama Mother and Mom, Han Chae-rin played private tutor Yoo So-yeon, who hid a mysterious identity, and left an impression with acting stability uncharacteristic of a newcomer. Later in Our Unwritten Seoul she played Min Ye-rin, an impassioned lawyer who has an unrequited love for Lee Ho-soo (played by Park Jin-Young), and in Siren's Kiss she consecutively took on the role of Do Eun-hye, the younger sister of Do Eun-hyeok (played by Han Jun-woo), who is a close friend of Han Seol-ah (played by Park Minyoung) and engages in tense conflict with Han Seol-ah, continuing vigorous activity with a frightening growth trajectory.
Meanwhile, the MBC new Friday-Saturday drama A Bona fide Killer, which Han Chae-rin has joined, is a drama depicting the fierce struggle of a working mom with the most brutal job in the world as she fights to protect work-life balance. It will premiere on the 31st at 9:50 p.m.<
