The group BTS demonstrated enduring popularity on the U.S. Billboard main charts, once again proving the majesty of the "global top tier."
On the 21st (local time), according to the latest chart (dated July 25) released by U.S. music outlet Billboard, BTS's fifth full-length album "ARIRANG" ranked 26th on the main album chart Billboard 200.
In particular, the title track "SWIM" landed at No. 100 on the main song chart the Hot 100, marking a major milestone of 17 consecutive weeks on the chart. This ties the 17-week chart run set by BTS's collaboration with Coldplay, "My Universe." Given that it now stands alongside the group's all-time hit songs, attention is focused on how far "SWIM" will continue its unstoppable solo run.
Also, "SWIM" held the No. 2 spot for seven consecutive weeks on the "Global (excluding U.S.)" chart, firmly maintaining a top-five position for 17 weeks. Earlier, the song reached No. 1 for the eighth time on the chart dated June 6, setting a new record for the most No. 1s among songs released in 2026. That also ties the group's longest run at No. 1 record held by the mega-hit "Dynamite."
Not only the title track but also eight tracks in total — "Body to Body" (No. 87), "2.0" (No. 92), "Hooligan" (No. 96), "FYA" (No. 154), "NORMAL" (No. 156), "Like Animals" (No. 181), and "they don't know 'bout us" (No. 182) — succeeded in charting for 17 consecutive weeks. Among them, "NORMAL," which rose eight places, recently released a Korean version and an instrumental track, so further acceleration is expected. In addition, the new song "Come Over" added firepower by charting for five consecutive weeks at No. 170 on the "Global 200" and No. 94 on the "Global (excluding U.S.)" chart.
BTS recently stamped an iconic page in sports history and once again solidified their status as 21st-century pop icons. They took the halftime show stage at the 2026 FIFA World Cup™ final on the 19th (local time) as co-headliners alongside legendary pop stars such as Madonna, Shakira and Justin Bieber, captivating the audience with the mega-hit "Dynamite."
