"Radio Star" singer Kim Jeong-min revealed a special episode in which he felt an unprecedented reaction in his 30-year career at an APT. event in Dongtan.
The MBC program 'Radio Star,' which aired on the afternoon of the 22nd, was presented as a special called "Now wipe away your tears" featuring Kim Jeong-min, Kim Young-kwang, Lee Seung-woo and Jung Seung-hwan.
Kim Jeong-min said, "While I was performing, an event came up. But the pay is right. I thought it was good, but they said it was an APT. event. An apartment would invite a big-name singer like me?" he said, revealing his honest feelings at the time and making the studio burst into laughter.
He went on, "You don't think an apartment event would be large in scale. Do apartments even invite celebrities? But they match the pay? I'm curious," adding that he went to the venue with curiosity.
But when Kim Jeong-min arrived on site, he was astonished by the unexpected tremendous enthusiasm. He said, "The area is Dongtan. The residents of the Dongtan APT. were teenagers during Kim Jeong-min's generation," and added, "In my more than 30 years since debut, this was the first time I experienced that level of response and reaction. I sang five songs," he said, evoking surprise.
