Interpreter and broadcaster Lee Yoon-jin said she was proud that her daughter So-eul is doing well in school.
Lee Yoon-jin on the 21st said, "When we returned to Seoul, my only wish for So-eul was simply that she would get through school without incident. It is also true that as a mother I felt sorry and scared to tell So-eul, who had adapted unusually well to a foreign school and whose studies and school life were going smoothly, that she would have to return to Korea and start anew."
She added, "After returning to Seoul I was promoting Potato Head in Korea and, personally, with house renovations and moving overlapping, I couldn't pay as much attention to the children as before, but So-eul really handled her first semester well," and said, "Her studies, school life, band club activities and even being elected a class officer for the second semester. I'm thankful and proud to see her worrying things through and handling them on her own."
She went on, "Now it's vacation. Let's study hard in vacation special classes and go on a K-trip with Mom and Da-eul," and expressed her affectionate feelings toward her daughter, saying, "Our So-eul is a wonderful person who can do well and be recognized anywhere. Seeing So-eul, who is not easily shaken, I learn a lot as a mother. Mom infinitely supports So-eul's dreams."
The photos released along with the post show So-eul receiving several awards and the appointment certificate she received after being elected class vice president for the second semester. In addition, she is doing excellently in school, receiving perfect scores in final exams in Chinese and social studies.
Meanwhile, Lee Yoon-jin married actor Lee Bum-soo in 2010 and has one son and one daughter, and earlier this year she completed divorce proceedings by mutual agreement. She currently lives in Seoul with her children while continuing her work as an interpreter and broadcaster.
