Kim Seon-tae said he turned down offers from Kim Tae-ho and Na Young-seok but explained why he accepted KBS's offer.
On the 21st, a video titled 'From Chungju to Korea, terrestrial broadcaster solo MC "Kim Seon-tae" hot debut' was posted on KBS's YouTube channel.
That day, the producers who had a meeting with Kim Seon-tae and KBS staff asked, "It took half a year from the first meeting to sitting in this seat," asking about the long period of consideration.
In response, Kim Seon-tae said, "I have been very busy. I thought about it a little. Could I handle the heavy weight?" and added, "Now I've checked my tolerance, and to be honest I had declined."
Kim Seon-tae reportedly turned down offers from OTTs as well as offers related to producer Kim Tae-ho's Theo and producer Na Young-seok's Egg Is Coming.
He went on to say, "I had to focus on my YouTube at first, so I had no choice but to decline. I am cautious and I don't eat new foods. I also dislike travel and have never felt boredom."
Kim Seon-tae complained, "I definitely turned everything down. But they were very persistent. For example, it was like this: I turned down a request to date, but they kept contacting me, asking why I didn't answer."
Kim Seon-tae, who said he had already stamped the appearance contract, confessed, "In any case, I had a desire to work with KBS. I once appeared on MBC's election broadcast and rumors spread that I was a leftist," adding, "That was not a national election broadcast but a local election, and the topic of regional balanced development came up. I accepted that when I was a public official."
Meanwhile, Don Seon-tae: era of success, which features Kim Seon-tae, will be first released on the 29th.
