MBC's new Fri-Sat drama 'A Bona fide Killer' director Yoon Jong-ho directly revealed the show's differentiated charm and his directing intentions ahead of the premiere.
MBC's new Fri-Sat drama 'A Bona fide Killer', which premieres on the 31st (planned by Kwon Seong-chang, written by Kim Eun-hee, directed by Yoon Jong-ho·Kim Ji-hun), is an action comic drama that depicts the struggles of a woman living two contrasting lives at once as a killer and a working mom. In particular, as the follow-up work by director Yoon Jong-ho, who was recognized for his stylish directing through 'Lovely Runner', it has been attracting attention even before its broadcast.
Director Yoon Jong-ho cited the greatest charm of 'A Bona fide Killer' as "that it contains realistic emotions that anyone can empathize with within a unique setting." He added, "Although the profession of a killer is extraordinary, the efforts to balance work and family connect with the stories of many people living today."
Director Yoon Jong-ho said that regarding the points he focused on while directing, "rather than concentrating on sensationally showing the act of shooting a gun and killing a person itself, I tried to focus more on what choices the characters make and what emotions they experience even within such extreme settings." He went on to say, "After all, 'A Bona fide Killer' is not a story about killers but the story of a person who struggles to protect her life and family. Because 'A Bona fide Killer' has a unique setting, the performances of the actors who realistically portray it also play an important role.
