Blackpink's Jennie revealed the identity of the "mysterious man" who caused a stir after she posted about him on social media through a teaser for her new single.
Earlier, Jennie shared a Polaroid photo on her SNS and Instagram Story in which she was leaning affectionately on a man's shoulder.
The man's face in the photo was covered with a heart emoji, and Jennie added no further explanation, heightening fans' curiosity. Immediately after it was posted online, a variety of guesses poured out, including "Isn't that her boyfriend," "It looks like a music video shoot," and "It seems like a spoiler for the new song."
In particular, some fans speculated that the Japanese model Nakai was a strong candidate based on the hairstyle and mood in the photo and the fact that Jae-min, creative director at OA Entertainment, follows model Nakai.
And that "deduction" proved correct. On the 21st, OA Entertainment released a teaser for Jennie's new single "Less than a Lover." The teaser showed Jennie and Nakai working together, and it revealed that the previously released Polaroid photo was also part of the new song's promotion.
