Mnet's legendary dance series returns this time as a brutal war among "performance directors." The dazzling scale and the overture of dopamine set to sweep living rooms this summer have finally been unveiled.
Mnet's Street World Fighter: Directors War (hereafter "SDWF"), which confirmed its first broadcast at 10 p.m. on Aug. 18, today (21st) released a main trailer video packed with the program's astonishing scale and breath-stealing tension.
SDWF is a new expansion of the Mnet original dance series that sparked an unprecedented "dance syndrome" in Korea. While previous series highlighted the dance battles of world-class "dancers," this SDWF puts "performance directors" who plan and complete the entire production behind the scenes at the forefront, staging an unprecedented and fierce "work war."
The main trailer released that day struck like a biting wind from the start. Sharp, bone-piercing interviews followed, such as "Not all star dancers can be called directors" and "Aren't the fakes terrifying?" In particular, scenes intercut showing Bada, who is already in the ranks of legends as a player but faces a harsh test as a director, finally bursting into tears produced suffocating tension.
Above all, the substance of the shocking mission that had been shrouded in mystery was revealed, delivering catharsis. It teased a "1-on-1 signature choreography showdown" in which the mega hit "signature choreographies" of 10 prominent directors—such as aespa's "Armageddon," Dynamic Duo's "Smoke," and Jennie's "like JENNIE"—are wholly stolen and stolen back.
