Netflix has commented on reports that Teach You a Lesson season 2 is in production.
On the 21st, a Netflix representative for Teach You a Lesson told OSEN, "There are no plans to produce season 2 of Teach You a Lesson."
Previously, one outlet reported, citing a source, that Teach You a Lesson had entered discussions for producing a follow-up season.
According to the report, although details such as filming schedule and cast have not yet been decided, preparations are underway to continue the story of season 1. However, Netflix took a cautious stance on the matter, saying, "There are no plans."
Meanwhile, Teach You a Lesson is based on a webtoon of the same name and deals with events that occur when the fictional national agency the "Office for the protection of teachers' authority" is deployed to a collapsed education system. Teach You a Lesson became a hit upon release and remained at No. 1 for four consecutive weeks even in its fourth week after release, showing great popularity.
In particular, according to the Netflix "2026 first‑half viewing report," Teach You a Lesson entered the global top 10 in less than a month after release and recorded a cumulative 48.2 million views in the first half.
