Netflix said the film Possible Love has been officially invited to the special presentations section of the 51st Toronto International Film Festival, which will be held from Sep. 10 to 20. Possible Love is the story of a dismissed worker and his wife, and a documentary director and her husband, two couples who meet to make a documentary and confront different lives and hidden desires.
The Toronto International Film Festival is the largest film festival in North America, inviting a wide range of films that combine popular appeal and artistic merit, and is considered one of the four major film festivals in the world alongside the Venice International Film Festival, the Cannes Film Festival and the Berlin International Film Festival. The special presentations section, to which Possible Love was invited, showcases new works by actors and directors who are drawing attention worldwide, highlighting films that combine both popular appeal and artistry. Notable films such as Parasite, Decision to Leave, The Age of Shadows and The Handmaiden have been invited. Last year's special presentations section at the 50th Toronto International Film Festival invited the Netflix film Good News, which drew an enthusiastic response.

This work once again proves his reputation as one of the greatest contemporary filmmakers," conveying the reason for inviting Possible Love and raising expectations for Lee Chang-dong's singular direction that sharply captures slices of society while illuminating universal humanity. Possible Love will meet audiences around the world through its North American premiere screening at the 51st Toronto International Film Festival.
Meanwhile, the first look stills released together catch the subtle relationships of Mi-ok (Jeon Do-yeon), Ho-seok (Sul Kyung-gu), Sang-woo (Zo In-sung) and Ye-ji (Cho Yeojeong), drawing the eye. Standing side by side on the beach but seeming to be thinking different thoughts, the image raises curiosity about why they went to the beach together and what might have happened between them.
