Singer and musical actress Tiffany Young expressed special affection for her husband, actor Byun Yo-Han. After registering their marriage, they publicly expressed affection and showed the sweet side of a newlywed couple.
Tiffany Young on the afternoon of Aug. 21 at Seoul Arts Center in Seocho-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul, during an interview about the musical 'Yumi's Cells,' conveyed her husband Byun Yo-Han's reaction after watching the first performance.
Tiffany Young and Byun Yo-Han acknowledged their relationship in December last year and registered their marriage in February, becoming legally married. After becoming a couple, Tiffany Young and Byun Yo-Han publicly expressed affection for each other and even revealed sweet newlywed daily life on variety shows.
In particular, Byun Yo-Han drew attention for his exceptional spousal support. He surprised Tiffany Young with a coffee truck gift and, despite his busy schedule, attended his wife's first performance.
Tiffany Young said, "My husband supports and cheers me on no matter what I do because he is my staunch ally. Even with his very busy schedule, he came from the first show onward. He cried more than anyone," saying he empathized with and supported her.
Last month, he even sent a coffee truck to the venue for Tiffany Young. It was a surprise gift Tiffany Young did not know about. Tiffany Young said, "I was so surprised. Everyone told me 'so sweet' so I wondered what 'so sweet' was. If I had known, I would have dressed up even a little," and described Byun Yo-Han as "so touching. So thoughtful."
Tiffany Young said, "I am so happy. I'm so grateful and joyful," and added, "Because we met while each of us was working, I admire him as an actor — he's so cool. We cheer for and wait for what each of our teams will do, so I'm happy," again expressing affection.
The musical 'Yumi's Cells' is based on a webtoon that has recorded 3.5 billion cumulative views and is the world's first stage adaptation of the original work. It cheerfully portrays the daily life and love of ordinary office worker Kim Yumi from the perspective of the cells in her head. Tiffany Young returned to the stage in the role of Kim Yumi.
Having developed from co-stars to lovers while acting together in the drama 'Uncle SamSik,' they also serve as each other's steadfast support who do not hesitate to give advice. Tiffany Young said, "Because we each read our scripts every day, he helped me a lot when listening, and since he so skillfully pulled off office dramas, of course I had many things to ask."
Tiffany Young will not only appear in 'Yumi's Cells' but, marking the 10th anniversary of her solo debut this year, will release her first full solo album on Aug. 20 and perform as a singer. Having gone through acting activities and the major life change of marriage, those changes are reflected in this album.
About Byun Yo-Han, Tiffany Young said, "Family is always the first priority and center in the working process, so we always support and believe in each other and have a great influence on one another. I think that is reflected in everything, including the solo album. What influences me is expressed through my instrument — my music, my voice, my gaze," and added with a laugh, "(Byun Yo-Han) has a cool gaze, so I thought I should adopt it too; I think I put it all in."
