Singer Sandara Park is set to start music activities in Japan in earnest.
Japanese music industry Veteran Taniguchi Hajime (Hajime Taniguchi) has joined singer Sandara Park's "rePRISM" project.
Taniguchi Hajime was responsible for international business, business strategy, intellectual property rights and music publishing at Sony Music and Avex. He later served as CEO of Avex Music Publishing, chairman of the Japan Music Publishers Association, and a director of JASRAC, building expertise across the Japanese music industry.
Through this addition, he will participate as an official advisor to ARADNAS in the expanding "rePRISM" project, which is growing into a mini-album, and in Sandara Park's overall music activities in Japan; using this as a starting point, he plans to gradually broaden the scope and role of his participation and be more deeply involved in all of ARADNAS's projects.
Previously, Sandara Park said she would intensify new music activities while working on a follow-up mini-album in Japan. As she prepares band-based activities and local promotion tailored to the Japanese market, Taniguchi Hajime, who has experience in the Japanese music business, copyright and global strategy fields, is expected to be a major asset to the "rePRISM" project.
Regarding the background to joining the project, Taniguchi Hajime said, "When I first heard 'Nail,' I felt that after a familiar name there remained a voice that has not yet been heard enough," and added, "Although she is already an artist with high name recognition, what caught my attention was not past fame but the direction of the music she is creating now."
