On the 21st episode of SBS' Same Bed, Different Dreams 2 - You Are My Destiny, the couple Bae Da-hae and Lee Jang-won appeared.
Bae Da-hae greeted the morning in her new home. In the house of the couple, who have been married six years, a white-haired gentleman opened the door and appeared. It was Lee Jang-won's grandfather. Bae Da-hae explained, "I have a new roommate. I am living with my 100-year-old father-in-law." Lee Jang-won's grandfather was born in 1926 but still looked spry, surprising everyone.
Lee Jang-won said, "We have been preparing since last fall. It's been five months since the move-in," and Bae Da-hae explained, "Grandfather had been living alone. A senior aunt lives in the house in front, and a younger aunt lives nearby. They took turns caring for grandfather for 30 years, but they all grew older... Everyone worried about him being alone at night. After a family meeting, it was agreed that he would move in. It was a situation foreseen even before our marriage."
Seo Jang-hoon said the decision must not have been easy, and Lee Jang-won said, "I protested alone. I didn't want to go to grandfather's house. I also felt sorry. I would have lived nearby if possible. I opposed it a bit, but Da-hae decisively agreed," expressing gratitude to Bae Da-hae.
