In the final episode of the KBS 2TV weekend drama 'Recipe For Love' (directed by Han Jun-seo and Bae Eun-hye, written by Park Ji-sook), which aired on the 19th, the Gong family and the Yang family shed long-standing conflicts and became true families, delivering warm emotion.
In the episode, Yang Seon-chul (played by Joo Jin-mo) collapses during the wedding of Gong Joo-a (played by Jin Se Yun) and Yang Hyun-bin (played by So E-hyun) while battling acute leukemia, in a shocking development. Yang Dong-sook (played by Jo Mi-ryung), who learned of her father's illness belatedly, wept uncontrollably, and Yang Seon-chul barely overcame the crisis with an emergency blood transfusion. The crisis surrounding Yang Seon-chul's bone marrow transplant was not easily resolved. Na Seon-hae compiled the letters they exchanged over 30 years into an essay titled "30 nights across" and Gong Gi-cheol added emotional depth with a heartfelt confession that he "wanted to change the time his wife thought she had been alone for 30 years into a time spent together." In particular, Han Seong-mi (played by Yoo Ho-jung) returned to broadcasting after two years of battling breast cancer, delivering a profound resonance. She conveyed from the heart that "what helped me get through that time was not a grand miracle but the love of my family who stayed by my side," touching viewers' hearts.
In the end, both the Gong and Yang families concluded the grand finale by taking a family photo together. Just before the shoot, a humorous incident in which Gong Woo-jae (played by Kim Seon-bin) and Yang Eun-bin (played by Yoon Seo-ah)'s secret relationship is exposed added cheerful laughter until the final moment.
