The group BOYNEXTDOOR (BOYNEXTDOOR) successfully opened the curtain on their first world tour.
BOYNEXTDOOR (Seongho, Liu, Myung Jaehyun, Taesan, I-han, Unhak) held their first world tour, BOYNEXTDOOR TOUR "KNOCK ON Vol.2" in Seoul, at KSPO Dome in Songpa-gu, Seoul, from the 17th to the 19th. The concert, which sold out all seats through advance ticket sales alone, drew a total of about 31,800 spectators over three days, and they also met fans from 57 countries and regions around the world through an online live stream.
Fitting for the start of their first world tour, the concert was filled with a rich lineup. BOYNEXTDOOR performed more than three hours by adding eight encore songs to their existing setlist of 23 songs, eliciting enthusiastic responses from fans.
The concert began with the hip-hop track "06070," which captures their journey from trainee days to after debut. They then performed signature songs in succession, including "VIRAL," "Mweot gata" and "I Feel Good," raising the venue's energy to a fever pitch from the start.
Even over live band sound, the members delivered unwavering vocals and solid performances and interacted with the audience throughout the show. During "One day I love you" the venue was filled with a mass singalong, and the stages for "Earth, Wind & Fire" and "ADIOS!" created an explosive atmosphere reminiscent of a rock festival.
When album tracks such as "Jangnanjyeo," "Upside Down" and "Bathroom" were performed for the first time at this concert, the audience responded as enthusiastically as they did to the title tracks, standing up and singing along to enjoy the show together. By contrast, "Remember me," a song that conveys genuine feelings for family, shifted the atmosphere in the venue to a calm tone and delivered deep emotion.
The four-story LED tower installed at center stage transformed into different spaces for each song, enhancing immersion. "Live In Paris" was staged to evoke an airport, and "Hollywood Action" was realized as a set reminiscent of a film shoot, while the mashup of "Toktoktok," "One and Only" and "JAM!" overwhelmed attention with a mega-crew performance featuring 30 dancers.
Even after the concert ended, responding to continued encore requests, BOYNEXTDOOR repaid fans' support by performing fan songs "I Wonder" and "I Wonder, Always," as well as the Korean version of their Japanese single "Count To Love." They then sequentially performed "I Feel Good," "Dolabwareshigetda," "ADIOS!", "Earth, Wind & Fire" and "One day I love you," magnificently concluding the Seoul shows of their first world tour.
BOYNEXTDOOR said "the biggest reason we stand on stage is ONEDOOR," adding "thanks to your constant love and support we were able to perform with smiles" to express their gratitude to fans. They went on to say they wanted to be "a team that makes fans more curious about the next performance" even before debut and pledged, "we will continue to do our best to make the most special day in your lives."
After successfully completing the Seoul concerts, BOYNEXTDOOR will meet domestic fans again at Sajik Indoor Gymnasium in Busan from the 31st to Aug. 2. They will then meet global fans through a total of 35 shows in 24 cities, including six cities in Japan such as Kanagawa, Osaka, Miyagi and Nagano, 10 North American cities including Chicago, New York, Seattle, Los Angeles and Toronto and Mexico City, and six Asian cities including Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Taipei and Hong Kong.
