Actor Son Naeun has made her mark as a new action fairy.
Son Naeun is appearing as Jung Sang-ah, an assistant manager at Sangsaeng Savings Bank where Manager Kim (So Jisub) works and an agent of the special missions bureau, in the SBS Friday-Saturday drama Manager Kim (written by Nam Daejung, directed by Lee Seungyoung·Lee Soeun, planned by Studio S·Fantagio).
In particular, while Son Naeun played an ordinary bank employee as the bubbly MZ trend center in the early episodes, in the later episodes she creates tension in the drama with action performances that spare no effort as a cold-blooded special missions agent.
In the recently broadcast episodes 7 and 8, Jung Sang-ah's image risking danger to save Manager Kim and his family was portrayed impactfully, and she shines with a powerful presence through intense action scenes.
In particular, Son Naeun enhances the details of her action acting with delicate "hand acting." Even in urgent situations, her quick hand movements that catch opponents off guard and precise motions handling weapons highlight undercover agent Jung Sang-ah's professional side. Even amid dynamic movements that spare no effort, she shows barehanded acting alive down to her fingertips, raising the drama's immersion.
Also, when she revealed her reversed identity from an ordinary bank employee to a special missions agent, the dagger action Son Naeun displayed was enough to capture viewers' attention.
The scene in which she quickly picks up a knife dropped on the floor during a standoff with an infiltrated operative and counters was a moment when Son Naeun's action skills, honed and prepared for this work, shone.
