Actor Lee Seongsin is building her presence as a next-generation prospect with activities spanning drama, modeling, commercials and music videos.
In the recently released resin snack "Checkmate," Lee Seongsin played the role of Jung Eunseong, convincingly portraying a complex emotional arc and shifts in relationships between characters. In the drama, Jung Eunseong was a model student envied by everyone during her school days and the figure who provoked Lee Suhyun's inferiority and obsession. As time passed, she faces Lee Suhyun again and acts as a central axis connecting the past and present.
Playing Jung Eunseong, who appears flawless and composed outwardly but harbors emotions she does not easily reveal, Lee Seongsin built the character's psychology meticulously even within restrained expressions. From a cold, calm demeanor to emotions shaken by unexpected situations, she naturally portrayed the range and added dimensionality to the character.
She conveyed the character's complex psychology particularly through understated expressions and deep gazes alone. In scenes opposing the other actor, she created taut tension, and at moments when emotions deepened, she expressed hidden sincerity with only subtle facial changes, raising the work's immersion.
Since debuting in 2018, Lee Seongsin has accumulated solid experience appearing on runways for Seoul Fashion Week designers such as Kim Seoryong Homme, Graphist Manji and Blanc de Noir. With a tall physique and the ability to embody concepts, she has also made her presence felt as a model.
In advertising she has worked with various brands and been recognized for natural expressiveness and a wide image range. With an appeal that suits any genre or concept, she has steadily expanded her areas of activity.
She delivered impressive acting in music videos as well. In Nerd Connection's "Will we become a song" music video, she played a character reminiscing about a former lover and expressed delicate emotions. From happy memories to the emptiness after the breakup, she naturally depicted the range and deepened the song's sentiment.
