On the 18th (local time), Us Weekly reported that Britney Spears' son Jaden James directly refuted the absurd conspiracy theory that his mother is a clone.
According to the report, the 19-year-old Jaden said during a live social media session last Friday, "I opened TikTok and saw a video with 1.2 million likes. The caption read, 'The biggest conspiracy ever: Is Britney Spears still alive?'" he explained, adding, "If you go to mom's social media right now, you can see she's perfectly fine."
He added, "When you see things like this, you realize that much of what appears in the media is exaggerated or false," noting, "People know how easily they are fooled, and they take advantage of that. When people see something in the media, they believe it just because it has a lot of likes. They don't look it up or verify it; they just say, 'Wow, that's amazing. I believe it.'"
Britney Spears had Jaden and his older brother Preston with her ex-husband Kevin Federline. The brothers had a strained relationship with their mother for years, but they are reported to have recently reconciled.
Earlier this year, Britney Spears was embroiled in controversy after an arrest for driving under the influence (DUI) and voluntarily entered a rehabilitation facility for treatment. Although there were claims that she was not actively participating in treatment after admission, it was reported that her two sons helped her.
