"Running Man" will return to viewers with a 10-minute longer runtime than last week.
Today (19th) at 6 p.m., SBS' Running Man will be extended by 10 minutes as it proceeds with the "commute yahoo" Race, in which the next recording's commute time is at stake.
In a recent recording, the members challenged two water missions to win coins needed to use the "time vending machine," which can adjust commute times, and the "prize vending machine," which offers high-value prizes. The first mission was "water towel bodyguard," in which participants had to protect a wet towel to the end while riding a high-speed water leisure craft. Because it proceeded as teams of two, fierce checks and psychological warfare followed from the start, and Yang Se-chan launched a secret lobbying move, asking the staff driving the boat to drive more roughly.
Next, the "human bowling" mission was held, in which members rode a giant water slide nearly three stories high and tried to drop more tubes stacked on a buoy into the water.Members at the top of the slide created a spectacle as they delayed their turns, saying "I feel like I'm going to vomit" in terror. By contrast, Kim Jong Kook quickly analyzed the rules as soon as the mission began, developed his own strategy and showed an exceptional presence.Viewers can check the main broadcast to see whether the members can overcome extreme fear and succeed in obtaining coins.
Meanwhile, the "same dream, different minds quiz" that tests the members' teamwork was also held. After viewing a given correct answer, members wrote keywords that came to mind without overlapping with each other, and a single representative combined them to guess the answer, producing outrageous responses that turned the site into a sea of laughter.
In particular, Haha wrote "Hong Gil-dong" for a question related to "Jeon Bong-jun" and could not explain the reason, provoking bursts of laughter, and Yu Jae-seok demonstrated his brain skills again by solving even difficult-to-infer questions without hesitation. With unexpected teamwork leading to consecutive correct answers, the members shouted, "The production team has lost its laughter. It's our 16 years!" and their confidence set the site ablaze, the word goes.
Questions remain as to whether the members will succeed through the final quiz mission and be able to secure a next-week commute time that satisfies everyone.
Meanwhile, "Running Man" is one of SBS's representative entertainment programs; it first aired in July 2010 and has been running for 16 years. It is considered one of the most popular Korean variety shows both domestically and overseas.
